Hairdressing Salon

Every hairdressing salon wants to have loyal customers, and this requires a certain amount of skill and effort. Finding clients is not hard but making customers loyal to your business can be a challenge. Most customers are very conscious about their hair, and if they are completely satisfied with a salon, they will rarely ever try out new ones. In order to ensure customer loyalty, salons need to maintain their quality of work. Therefore, every salon needs to have a few hairdressing facilities (called friseursalon einrichtungen in German) that will improve your clients’ experience and increase their satisfaction.

A Comfortable Environment:

Firstly, it is necessary to have a fresh and clean environment in your hairdressing salon. There should be good ventilation; this can be in the form of fresh air from outside or a proper ventilation system. The working temperature of your salon should be comfortable, no matter how harsh the weather conditions are. An optimum temperature is around 16°C. The lighting of the salon is an important factor of the salon and hairdressers can either use natural light or lamps, as long as they are suitable for working.

It is vital that the salon is not congested, as it can have a bad impression on the clients. There should be ample space to comfortably move around and the waiting area should be spacious as well with sufficient seating. Moreover, proper disposal of waste should be carried out and bins should be provided to avoid littering in the salon.

Privacy:

Privacy is another very important factor, that can influence client’s satisfaction. Firstly, there should be adequate toilets in a separate corner of the salon where clients feel comfortable and others are not disturbed. Some clients prefer privacy during procedures like hair washing so the backwash units should be placed in a separate place where not everyone can see the customer.

It is also necessary to take care of your employees and make sure that if they wear uniforms, they have proper private rooms where they can change without any disturbances and even store their clothing. They should also have a separate area for having meals so that they do not disturb the other clients by eating in front of them. Therefore, the privacy of both your clients and employees should be your priority.

Maintaining Hygiene:

Hygiene and cleanliness have become the top priority of clients, especially due to the ongoing pandemic. Clients need to be ensured that all the SOPs are being followed and they will not be at risk if they visit your salon. Masks should always be worn by employees and they should be instructed to wash their hands frequently, especially before dealing with a new client. A hand wash basin should be placed near the entrance so that every customer who enters can also wash their hands. Along with employees, all clients should also wear face masks.

Moreover, all the salon equipment should be sterilized after every use, and disposable tools should be used where possible. A thorough cleaning of the entire salon including furniture and floors should be done every day. Close contact with others should also be avoided so procedures like threading should not be performed. Other alternatives to such procedures should be found. When customers will be confident in the hygiene and cleanliness of your salon, they will visit without hesitation. Maintaining hygiene and safety is not only necessary during the pandemic; it should also be carried out after the pandemic is over.

Be Prepared:

It is imperative to be well-prepared for any sort of hazardous events that may occur. A first aid box is essential for any emergencies related to clients or staff. The employees should be trained properly on the use of first aid and one person should be made in-charge of providing first aid kits and calling an ambulance when necessary. The staff should be aware of the dangers of the equipment and the products that they use, and they should be able to communicate to the clients on inquiry.

For other emergencies like a fire, there should be a few fire extinguishers in the salon, and they should work properly. Therefore, your salon should be prepared for all kinds of emergencies so that panic and havoc can be prevented in unforeseen situations. The efficiency and knowledge of your workers will increase clients’ confidence in your hairdressing salon.

These hairdressing facilities are must-haves for every salon as they will increase clients’ confidence in the salon. When they will see that the salon cares about their well-being and is trying to make all kinds of efforts to ensure a comfortable experience for them, they will start visiting more often.

Eventually, they may turn into long-term customers, especially when competitors do not provide the same level of hairdressing facilities. If your clients are completely satisfied with your services as well facilities, they will have no reason to try out new salons.
