Modern Table Clock

Remote work or Work From Home (WFH) has been in the trend for around 5-10 years. But, the outbreak of Covid-19 in March 2020 across the world, WFH became a hot topic of discussion, and most of the IT and allied organizations allowed their employees to do WFH. Even after around one year, thousands of professionals are on WFH.

If you are the one of people who still have issues in managing their work at home, this write-up is an ideal read for you.

Have a schedule and keep it maintained

WFH or work from home doesn’t mean you can do anything at any time. You shouldn’t be away from the seat for a long time, especially during your working hours. So, you should schedule each and every task, whether it is linked with your job, household work, or your own daily routine. Make a list of the works, especially related to home and personal ones, you have to do in a day. You can place a Modern Table Clock, in addition to wall clocks, in your bedroom, working area, or living room. To force you to stay focused on the prepared schedule/timetable, you can set an alarm for this time machine.

Strictly follow your working hours

Whether you work in a private or public firm, you have a working schedule of 8-9 hours that could be 9 am to 6 pm, 9:30 to 6:30, or 10 to 7. You need to stick to the same time you followed when you worked from your office. Strictly, follow whatever working hours you have. Be in your working area exactly at the fixed time and leave the space as you did in your office. To stay focused on your office work, request your family members not to disturb you.

Take short breaks during working hours

Taking a short break from work is essential for every professional. The break makes a professional feel relaxed, fresh, and energized. And when you have enough freshness and energy, you are more concentrated on your work. As a result, your productivity gets improved. So, give importance to short breaks and take the same when you feel you need a break.

Maintain a healthy balance between your personal life and professional life

WFH doesn’t mean you are available 24 hours for your organization. Like earlier, you should draw a line to differentiate your professional life from your personal life. Except for a few moments, say no to work after the end of your working hours and avoid doing your personal work during your office time. Further, avoid taking official matters to your family members. Pay attention to your family life when your office time comes to an end.

Break your office work in small parts

Never take your work as a whole, as it could make you feel like having a heavy workload. Instead of taking it as a whole, you can divide your work into small parts. After the dividation of the work, start working on it and move to the next part after completing the first one. And try to complete the entire work on the same day. Otherwise, you will increase the workload on the next day.

Avoid doing multiple tasks at a time

Doing work at a time brings better results, as you are completely focused on it and your mind has no deviation from one task to another. On the other hand, doing multiple jobs together makes your mind get divided. This dividation interrupts you to stay focused. You do some part of a work and go to do another work without completing the first one. With this, you find it hard to complete a job on time and you get delayed in the delivery of the work. So, better productivity and results, you should do work at a time and take another work in hand when you complete the first one.

Conclusion

Your work management completely depends on how you schedule your work, how much you stay stuck to your prepared schedule, and what you do to manage your time/work. Experts can advise you, but it is you who have to take action.
